To make it easy for you to use, here’s a step-by-step guide to how my copywriting service works:
1) Just call me on the telephone to brief me, or e-mail me to set up a call. If you need some help to clarify what you need, we can discuss this and agree on a brief together. To help us both understand and clarify your needs, please take some time to read and answer my briefing questionnaire (PDF).
2) Once I've been briefed or having agreed a brief together, you'll need to send me some background information. This'll help me clarify the content and scope of the project and provide an accurate quotation or estimate and understand your service or product enough to write the copy. I'll need to see as much relevant information as you can provide. Once again, please take some time to read my briefing questionnaire (PDF) for a list of the sort of material I’ll want to see.
3) I'll send you a written quotation or estimate for the cost of the copywriting and the time it should take, with a copy of my terms and conditions (PDF).
4) Once I've received an e-mail or letter from you agreeing to the quotation or estimate and my terms and conditions and a deposit if needed, then I’ll start my reading. I might need to call you again to fill any gaps in the information I need. But then, with the copy’s goals in mind and the information I need to hand, I’ll brainstorm, come up with ideas, organize it all, and come up with a plan. Meanwhile, you'll be free to get on with your work.
5) Once the copy plan is done, I'll refer it to you for feedback.
6) As soon as the plan has been agreed, I’ll write the first draft and send it to you for feedback. But please remember the first draft is not the final article and may contain some errors and flaws.
7) If needed, I'll revise the copy up to two (2) times after this to suit any changes you might want to make. Once you’re satisfied, I'll deliver the final draft and invoice you then for the job.
Please note: I’ll need your feedback within fifteen (15) days for each of showing you the copy plan and earlier drafts.
